The new Bell & Gossett Circuit Setter® ULTRASET™ dynamic balancing valve is simple to select and easy to use.
Why allocate more time and money than necessary balancing heating and cooling systems?
Just set the flow and the ULTRASET™ valve ensures quick and reliable operation. Once set, no
adjustments are required even if the pressure varies or the system is changed. Simply check that
the pump pressure at the index valve is correct and the job is done. It is as simple as it gets.

The B&G low-loss header, Model PSH, is a combination air separator and manifold that creates independent
primary and secondary circuits. The B&G Model PSH is equipped with a purge valve allowing the user to remove
any debris deposited on the bottom of the vessel and an air vent releasing trapped air in the system.
The insulation, which is provided as a standard, prevents water vapors entering from the outside and eliminates
the formation of condensate on the PSH body.

The differential bypass valve is used in systems where heating loads may be
excluded from the circuit as zone valves close.
It controls the excess flow in the system by acting as a bypass while
ensuring adequate flow to the remaining open circuits.
The differential bypass valve helps reduce velocity
noise caused by excess flow through the circuits while maintaining the pump
head at a constant value.

NRF-VS Pump Control is a
versatile variable speed control for use in hydronic heating and cooling
applications. Designed for use in hydronic heating and cooling applications. The
temperature of the water is controlled by regulating the speed of the pump which injects
water from a different temperature water loop (Primary loop) into a controlled loop
(Secondary loop). As the speed of the pump increases, more water is sent into the
Secondary loop, resulting in a secondary loop water temperature change. Read more in:A-119See:Complete Literature ListContact:B&G Rep
A-620 - Circuit Sentry TM Cartridge - The Difference in Automatic Flow Limiting Valves
Bell & Gossett - The
Circuit Sentry, with its unique flow control cartridge, automatically helps ensure that
all circuits receive their design flow. This is achieved by selecting the correct overall
flow, and limiting the flow into each circuit so that one circuit will not take flow from
others in the system. If the improper flow is caused by a change in pump speed, two- or
three-way valves, or because hydronic balance was never achieved, the Circuit Sentry will
work to provide the design flow when installed. Read more in:A-620See:Complete Literature ListContact:B&G Rep

Bell & Gossett BPX Brazed
Plate Heat Exchangers are ideal for residential and light commercial hydronic systems
because they provide maximum heat dissipation from a compact, lightweight heat exchanger.
Unlike conventional shell and tube heat exchangers, our units can be used even in
applications where space is at a premium. Their efficient design allows them to provide
more heat transfer using less space, making them well suited to a variety of
installations, including: radiant floors snow melt domestic hot water
pool heating. Read more in:C-318See:Complete Literature ListContact:B&G Rep

High performance. BPX
Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers offer the highest level of thermal efficiency and durability
in a compact, low-cost unit. Compact design. The corrugated plate design provides
very high heat transfer coefficients, resulting in a smaller surface area. This makes the
BPX an excellent choice; especially where space is a consideration. Solid
self-contained unit. Thin corrugated stainless steel plates are vacuum brazed together to
form a very durable, integral piece that can withstand both high pressure and high
temperature. Numerous applications. BPX units are ideal for residential
applications such as radiant, snow melt, domestic hot water, and pool heating. They also
can be used as refrigerant condensers and evaporators, as oil coolers for engines and
machinery, and in many other industrial applications. Read more in:C-316See:Complete Literature ListContact:B&G Rep

The Circuit Setter Calibrated
Balance Valve is designed specifically for pre-set proportional system balance. This
system balance method, developed by B&G, assures optimum system flow balance at
minimum operating horsepower. Balance valves can be simply pre-set using the B&G
Circuit Setter Calculator or Curve Booklet A-560 and
the system piping plan. With this procedure, system balance and start-up time is reduced
dramatically. Pump impeller trim after system balance will reduce system horsepower and
operating cost to minimum. Read more in:A-508See:Complete Literature ListContact:B&G Rep
Valve Installation Kits have
been proven to save ordering and installation time, and help reduce field problems. Bell
& Gossett offers 16 standard valve installation kits, with options for flexible
braided metal hoses, and pipe run out sizes from 1/2" to 2" in size, allowing
for hundreds of installation combinations. Circuit Sentry and Circuit Setter Plus®
balancing devices are available with Model UBY integrated ball shutoff valve and strainer,
Model UBV ball shutoff valve or Model UA accessory unions to provide system functionality
and integrated ports for accessory devices such as pressure and temperature measurement
ports, air vents or drain valves. Read more in:A-608See:Complete Literature ListContact:B&G Rep
The Bell & Gossett
Circuit Sentry is a calibrated automatic flow limiting valve with a precision
machined ball type shutoff valve, and commissioning measurement ports. The valve is
designed for flow limiting-style balancing of both HVAC cooling and heating circuits; the
valve is not for use in potable water systems. The use of the flow cartridge facilitates
easy flushing of the piping upon commissioning the system. The integral automatic flow
rate cartridge maintains the flow rate in the controlled circuit. The optimum flow rate is
maintained at a constant level even under fluctuating pressure conditions from as little
as 2 PSI to as much as 60 PSI of differential pressure. In a properly designed system the
valve automatically ensures system balance, regardless of changing pressure conditions
normally associated with variable speed pumping. Read more in:A-605See:Complete Literature ListContact:B&G Rep
Check-Trol is the solution
for circulator installations. Installing a Check-Trol on the discharge of the circulator
gives you the features of a Flow Control Valve, Isolation Valve and Companion Flange.
Another advantage of the Check-Trol is the minimal pressure drop, especially when compared
to the losses that can be experienced when a check valve is installed internal to the
circulator. The Check-Trol flanges are packaged with an isolation flange of the same size
to create a pair. Capscrews and nuts are included. Read more in:A-118See:Complete Literature ListContact:B&G Rep
The Triple Duty Valve is a
quiet operating heavy-duty valve which performs all of the functions normally required on
the discharge side of hydronic pump systems. The valve serves as a non-slam check valve as
needed for zoned pumping, parallel and standby pumping, and condenser water applications.
The spring-loaded disc prevents valve chatter, and assures positive shut-off. Calibrated
Balance Valve Superior balancing capability maximizes the systems operating efficiency and
allows for compliance with the National Energy Building Code Standards. Read more in:B-835See:Complete Literature ListContact:B&G Rep
The isolation flange is a
combination of an isolation ball valve and a companion flange for circulators. The
isolation flange allows easy service or replacement of the circulator without the need to
drain the system. Free-floating flanges eliminate the need to align flanges making the
pump installation a snap. The isolation flange fits the Bell & Gossett NRF/NBF/SSF wet
rotors, Series PL, Series 100, HV, PR and LR circulators. Available Sizes: 3/4",
1", 1-1/4" & 1-1/2" (refer to dimension and weight table for details). Read more in:A-117See:Complete Literature ListContact:B&G Rep
