NEW HYDRO-FLO® ENHANCES HEATING SYSTEM OPERATION
Morton Grove, IL -- March 10, 1997 -- ITT Bell & Gossett has introduced
Hydro-Flo®, an-easy-to-install, multi-function module that improves
the overall operation and efficiency of residential or light commercial
heating systems.
Assembled from five high quality ITT Fluid Handling components, Hydro-Flo
is ideal for new or retrofit applications in boiler-heated systems including
conventional convector, radiant
panel and multi-purpose. The module can be installed with a wide variety
of system configurations, including those with diaphragm/bladder or steel
compression tanks and/or multiple zones.
Both end users and contractors can benefit from the Hydro-Flo concept because
its design and quality components help smaller, boiler-fired systems provide
quiet, even warmth and deliver years of trouble free service.
Specifically, the Hydro-Flo module, which can be pre-assembled in contractors'
shops and quickly installed, includes: ITT Bell & Gossett Model FB-38
or FB-38TU Reducing Valve featuring unique inlet pressure valve, fast fill,
easy-to-see lever and a strainer that prevents debris from entering the
system. ITT Bell & Gossett Enhanced Air Separator Model EAS is available
in pipe sizes from 3/4" to 2", handles flow rates up to 70 GPM,
has no minimum pipe requirement and has an externally removable air vent.
ITT Bell & Gossett Red Fox® Circulator Model NRF-22 with 20 in./oz.
starting torque, an advanced DuraGlide long-life bearing system, corrosion-resistant
internal components and a self-cleaning particle shield. ITT McDonnell &
Miller Guard Dog Model RB-24 (gas) or RB-120 (oil) Low-Water Cut-Off prevents
dry boiler firing and is required by many codes and
recommended by boiler manufacturers PowerPurge Isolation Valve and Drain
reduce overall system maintenance time and costs as much of the routine
maintenance can be done quickly and easily from the basement.
In addition to improving heat distribution and comfort, the Hydro-Flo module
allows boiler-fired systems to operate air-free and, thus, more quietly.
Airless water also improves and thermal conductivity to reduce energy costs.
