Inverted Bucket Bear Trap Line Expanded

ITT Hoffman has introduced its new Series B1 and B2 Inverted Bucket BearTrap steam traps that feature higher capacities, extremely tight closings, all stainless steel internal components and rugged cast iron bodies.

The new Bear Trap units resist chemical attack and damage caused by waterhammer and are self-priming to save time on initial system start-up. InsideSeries B1 and B2 traps, a smooth surface ball bearing provides tight closingto minimize steam loss, which is critical for small load operations.

Additionally, the Series B1 and B2 capacities - a range of 28 to 2620 poundsper hour - exceed those of Armstrong Models 800 and 812 and Spirax Sarco'sModel BIH. Hoffman's Series B1 models, available in 1/2" or 3/4"NPT, and Series B2 models, available in 3/4" NPT, both can handle maximumoperating pressures of 250 psig and maximum temperatures of 450º F.Optional built-in strainers reduce the number of piping connections. Optionalthermic vents are also available for applications that require fast airremoval at start up for rapid heating.

Manufactured at Hoffman's ISO 9001 certified plant in Chicago, the SeriesB1 and B2 inverted bucket Bear Traps are ideal for a wide range of applications, including steam mains, laundry and dry cleaning plants, food processingplants and other facilities that require condensate, air drainage and/ora lift in discharge lines.
