BELL & GOSSETT INTRODUCES 1"- 2" SWEAT CIRCUITSETTERS® AND NEW KNOB DESIGN

Morton Grove, IL -- May 22, 1996 --- Bell & Gossett has announced an updated, improved version of its Circuit Setter® Plus Balance Valvefeaturing sweat connections through 2" sizes and a new adjustment knoband memory stop on 1/2"-1" sizes that make it more durable andeasier to adjust the memory setting.

To use the improved memory stop, a user rotates the red adjustment knobto a desired setting on the valve's nameplate and locks the setting in placeby tightening a screw conveniently located on the face of the knob.

The addition of sweat connections up to 2" is in response to increaseddemand by contractors for sweat connections for smaller pipe sizes to reduceinstallation labor costs.

Each Circuit Setter Plus balance valve is a three-function precision instrumentthat can be used as a presettable balance valve, variable orifice flow meterand positive shut-off valve. The units are designed specifically to providecost-saving, pre-set proportional system balance for hydronic systems. This system balance method, developed by Bell & Gossett, assures optimumsystem flow balance and allows for pump impeller trim to minimize systemhorsepower and operating costs.
