ITT Domestic Introduces Packaged PCC Pumpless Condensate Unit

Morton Grove, IL -- September 5, 1996 --- ITT Domestic now offers a skid packaged version of its PCC Pumpless Condensate Unit, used in high temperature applications.

The Domestic Packaged PCC unit includes a receiverand pumps to make it quicker and easier to install. The packaged unit providessuction piping with isolation valves, so one pump can be serviced withoutinterrupting unit operation.

Available in a simplex version with a 47 gallonreceiver and a duplex version with a 71 gallon receiver, the Packaged PCCunit features an elevated, vented steel receiver with holding volume abovethe filling head level. This prevents equipment flooding and provides sufficientarea for flash steam separation from the condensate.

If a receiver is not provided in a package, itneeds to be added in the field. In order to ensure proper receiver sizing,Domestic offers a guide chart for both receivers and reservoirs.

Domestic also has introduced a conversion kit toreplace the Sarco cast iron Pressure Power Pump PPC mechanism. The kit includesthe PCC internal mechanism and conversion ring and lid, and can be usedwith existing Sarco PPC cast iron tank and check valves.

Compared to the Sarco mechanism, the Domestic conversionkits have fewer parts; eliminate binding; include hardened valves and seatsto prolong mechanism life at 125 psi steam; and need no adjustment afterinstallation.
