NEW ITT BELL & GOSSETT SOLID STATE
PRESSURE BOOSTER CONTROLS STAGING OF
CONSTANT SPEED PUMPS

Morton Grove, IL -- February, 1996 --- ITT Bell & Gossett has introduced a new constant speed pressure booster equipped with the latest microprocessor-based controller technology for dependable staging of constant speed pumps.

The Model 70E pressure booster is less expensive to operate than control systems based on relay logic, and is designed for use with all applications of constant speed pumps. With its microprocessor memory and recall capabilities, the pressure booster can detect multiple faults in a pumping system and display them on an operator interface monitor screen.

A two-line, 20-character backlit display shows engineering units in kw, amps, psi, gpm, etc. Operators can read diagnostics from the controller as it continues to function, eliminating system downtime.

The Model 70E provides across-the-board application flexibility, since it can control pump staging by power consumption (kw), current draw (amps), flow (gpm) or pressure (psi). You choose the method that is best for your installation.

The 70E Pressure Booster measures 36"H x 30"W x 9"D. Other standard features include automatic and manual alternation, elapsed time meter for each pump, audible-visual system alarm, remote alarm indication, remote pump on/off status and no-flow shut-down.

Besides constant speed pressure boosters, ITT Bell & Gossett manufactures packaged systems for heat transfer, as well as cabinet-mounted, frame-mounted and skid-mounted variable speed pumping control systems, and individual system components. All systems are produced with the highest quality AFDs, sensors and Bell & Gossett-designed Technologic pump controllers. All systems are backed by the company's pledge of "unit responsibility."

Bell & Gossett, a unit of ITT Fluid Technology Corporation, is a leading manufacturer of centrifugal pumps, hydronic specialties, heat exchangers, condensate handling equipment, and packaged systems for variable and constant speed pumping, heat transfer and pressure boosting.
