BELL & GOSSETT ANNOUNCES NEW HIGH PERFORMANCE RED AND BRONZE FOX CIRCULATORS

Morton Grove, IL -- March, 1996 -- ITT Bell & Gossett has introduced new Red Fox and Bronze Fox Wet Rotor circulators with upto 80 percent more starting torque than competing pumps.

The Red Fox NRF-22 booster is ideal for hydronic heating applications. TheBronze Fox models NBF-12 and NBF-22 with flanged bodies, and the NBF-12Uand NBF-22U with union bodies, are superior for hot water recirculationand other potable water applications.

The Red and Bronze Fox units feature a new Duraglide bearing system whichensures dependable start-ups year after year. The Duraglide bearing systemconsists of lime and calcium lock-up resistant ceramic shafts, and doublesintered carbon bearings. Wide clearances between the shaft and bearingsare more tolerant of dirt and fine sediments particulate.

In addition to high starting torque, the new Red and Bronze Fox pumps delivermore capacity than competing brands.

The new cast-iron Red Fox is designed for residential and light commercialclosed hydronic heating system applications. The Bronze Fox incorporatesthe same performance features with 100% lead-free pump construction fordomestic water systems. The Red and Bronze Fox feature a stainless steelrotor which isolates the stator from system fluid without any chance ofleakage.

In addition, the rotor can has an integral bearing holder which helps tomaintain precision shaft and bearing alignment. Stainless steel faceplatesand rotor sleeves resist corrosion.

A self-cleaning particle shield prevents contaminants from entering theshaft and bearings during the initial system fill. Both models are lightweightand compact for easy installation in tight areas. Wire nut leads make forfast, sure electrical hook-ups. Each unit incorporates hydraulically matchedimpellers and volutes for optimum efficiency and quiet operation.

Several accessories are available to help optimize performance and energysavings: the only U.L. approved automatic timer kit to turn the circulatorson and off at preset times, and the only U.L. approved aquastat that turnsthe circulator on or off based on system temperature. (If either the timerkit or the aquastat are used, the pump retains its U.L. listing.) The RedFox has a flanged body with 3/4", 1", 1-1/4" or 1-1/2"pipe size companion flanges. Bronze Fox models are available in flangedor union body. Union-body Bronze Fox pumps have half-union connections availablefor 1/2" and 3/4" sweat, or 3/4" female NPT, tail pieces.Red and Bronze Foxes also are available in 50 cycle configurations.
