BELL
& GOSSETT INTRODUCES 1"- 2" SWEAT CIRCUIT SETTERS®
AND NEW KNOB DESIGN
Morton Grove, IL -- February, 1996 --- Bell & Gossett has announced an
updated, improved version of its Circuit Setter® Plus Balance Valve featuring
sweat connections through 2" sizes, and a new adjustment knob and memory stop on
1/2"-1" sizes that make it more durable, and easier to adjust the memory
setting.
To use the improved memory stop, a user rotates the red adjustment knob to a desired
setting on the valve's nameplate, and locks the setting inplace by tightening a screw
conveniently located on the face of the knob.
The addition of sweat connections up to 2" is in response to increased demand by
contractors for sweat connections for smaller pipe sizes to reduce installation labor
costs.
Each Circuit Setter Plus balance valve is a three-function precision instrument that can
be used as a presettable balance valve, variable orifice flow meter and positive shut-off
valve. The units are designed specifically to provide cost-saving, pre-set proportional
system balance for hydronic systems. This system balance method, developed by Bell &
Gossett, assures optimum system flow balance and allows for pump impeller trim to minimize
system horsepower and operating costs.
