McDonnell & Miller Introduces Time-Saving Cartridge-ValveWater Feeders

McDonnell & Miller has introduced its new time and money saving cartridge-valvewater feeder that features an innovative replaceable cartridge which eliminatesthe need to disconnect piping.

The new cartridge is a small valve insert about the size of a roll of Lifesavers®candy. It fits neatly inside the cast-iron body of the hex ported waterfeeder and is as easy and quick to replace as a strainer assembly. Thisnew feature is available on the following McDonnell & Miller controls: 101A,47, 247, 847, 51 and 851, as well as in the replacement valve assembliesfor these products.

The cartridge valve is made of corrosion-resistant Noryl® Resin forlong, trouble-free operation and improved performance.

The new valve has been tested for more than 100,000-cycles without failureor leakage under conditions of low and high pressure to 150 psi.

Complete controls, including 101As, 47s and 51s, can easily be substitutedfor older products without modification to piping or wiring. Additionally, replacement cast-iron (SA) valves with the new cartridge can be retrofitted onto existing 47 and 51 family controls.
