McDonnell & Miller Releases New Addition to Guard DogŪ Line

Chicago, IL -February 15, 1999-McDonnell & Miller has introduced the new Guard DogŪ Series RB-122 Low Water Cutoff, designed to meet the needs of modern high efficiency residential hot water boilers. The M&M Series RB Low Water Cut-Offs are precision engineered to protect hot water boilers from low-water conditions and provide burner cut-off in the event of a major loss of water.
Available for hot water boilers not requiring manual reset or test features, the RB-122 is equipped with solid-state components and comes with wire-nut electrical connections rather than a terminal block. The new, inexpensive compact cut-off is easy to wire and is available as a 120 VAC model.
The RB-122 comes standard with a 3/4” (20mm) NPT male connector and features an automatic reset that resumes operation after a power outage. Its voltage at the probe is just 20 volts and probe sensitivity is 15,000 ohms. The cut-off also features a red LED to indicate when low water conditions exist and a green LED to indicate power is on.
    Specifications of the RB-122 include:

  • NEMA 1 enclosure, UL and CSA listed
  • Maximum ambient temperature 120°F (40°C)
  • Maximum water temperature 250°F (121°C)
  • Maximum water pressure 160 psi (11.2 kg/cm2)
