Morton Grove, IL -- February 23, 2001.

Bell & Gossett has published an informative new bulletin that identifies and explains the features and benefits of the new Number 400 Automatic Air Vent.

Designed to assist in the selection and installation process, the four-color, one-page bulletin (A-303) provides contractors, wholesalers and engineers with a variety of useful data on the new air vent. The bulletin highlights the Number 400's many features, including the anti-rotation/anti-vibration float system, the air collection paddle and brass construction with non-ferrous wetted parts. The bulletin also explains how these unique features provide optimal performance and extend product life.

The Number 400 Automatic Air Vent is a rugged new automatic air vent that eliminates the accumulation of troublesome trapped air. The new Number 400 Automatic Air Vent is designed so that accumulated air allows the float to drop, causing the air to be vented through the valve. As the liquid level rises, the float rises to close off the valve.

The new Air Vent also features an innovative anti-rotation and anti-vibration float system that ensures reliable operation. By effectively removing accumulated air, the new 400 Automatic Air Vent provides the following system benefits:

• increases heat transfer and comfort

• reduces noise in the system

• increases the life of system equipment

• assists in reducing energy requirements
