Bell & Gossett Introduces
New Triple Duty® Valve
Morton Grove, IL --August 19, 2003.
Bell & Gossett has introduced a new Triple Duty® Valve
that performs all of the functions of three valves that are normally required on the
discharge side of hydronic pump systems. By incorporating three valves in one, the new
valve saves significant money in material costs and minimizes installation time.
The new Triple Duty Valve includes a calibrated balance valve, a non-slam check valve and
a shut-off valve. The calibrated balance valve optimizes system operating efficiency and
provides precise flow with a maximum range of control (89 turns). The non-slam check
valve assures positive shut-off free of water hammer or valve chatter as needed for zoned
pumping, parallel and standby pumping, and condenser water applications. The shut-off
includes a calibrated nameplate and memory button allowing the entire valve to be returned
to its initial balanced position after shut-off.
Providing the lowest pressure drop of any similar valve, the Triple Duty Valve meets
ASHRAE 90.1 requirements for energy efficient operation and is also compliant with the
National Energy Building Code Standards.
The valve is available in a standard straight pattern flange design, and is constructed of
durable materials that resist harsh operating pressures, high temperatures, and aggressive
liquids, ensuring a long life. |
