A new maintenance-free, in-line mounted centrifugal pump line
designed to provide increased hydraulic performance for a variety of commercial HVAC
applications has been introduced by Bell & Gossett. The new Series 60 combines Bell
& Gossett’s proven three-piece pump design with advanced technology engineering
to provide expanded flow coverage, overall operating efficiency improvements and component
interchangeability.
The new Series 60 features Bell & Gossett’s patented XL-11® Precision-Crafted
Bearing System. The XL-11 design ensures that the bearings remain permanently lubricated
and precisely positioned, resulting in smooth, quiet operation. In addition,
state-of-the-art hydraulically balanced impellers and resilient-mounted motors contribute
to the smooth, quiet operation of the pump.
Another unique product feature is Bell & Gossett’s internally self-flushing seal
chamber design which provides superior flow circulation around the seal faces, resulting
in reduced heat buildup, increased particle removal and superior seal-face flushing. These
internally self-flushing seals help ensure trouble free operation and higher operating
efficiencies for today’s more demanding HVAC applications.
The new Series 60 maintains the overall flange-to-flange dimension so it is capable of
fitting into the same dimension as it predecessor. This compact design makes for quick and
easy replacement and minimal downtime.
Available in eight sizes and varying horsepowers, the Series 60 is suitable for 225º F
operation at 175 psig, and can deliver up to 215 GPM and up to 55 feet of head. The new
pumps are also backed with Bell & Gossett’s three year warranty for materials and
workmanship.
