CSD-1 memory is a requirement of the CSD-1 Standard for all manual reset, probe type (electronic) Low Water Cut-Offs. The standard requires the control to ‘remember’ if there is power outage after the low water condition is detected AND the control must continue to remain ‘locked out’ even after power is restored. This requirement ‘mimics’ the operation of a manual reset float type Low Water Cut-Off since the float type control is a switch, which does require power in order to operate. The McDonnell & Miller Series 750 controls have this feature.
